The argument, in motion

Short animations of the framework, each tied to the papers it comes from. The reels in the top rows play here, among them the four-part set on the current of spinning light. The tiles below give the formula each short reel is built on, and what that formula has been tested against or still owes; the short reels themselves are on Sixteen pictures, retold.

The fabric that is not there

The standard picture has mass denting a sheet. Here nothing is dented: the Ether Plenum is compressed toward the mass, and a body is driven by how steeply that density changes.

Mercury’s perihelion, 42.98″ per century. Differs from general relativity only at second order: 0.73 microarcseconds at the Sun’s limb.

Light bends because it slows

Gravity as refraction. Light travels more slowly through the denser Plenum near a mass, so its path bends, for the same reason a straw looks bent in water.

Reproduces the measured 1.75″ deflection at the Sun. The exponent behind it is the framework’s one fitted constant.

Two kinds of gravitational wave

The Plenum carries a transverse wave at the speed of light and a slower compression wave. The first is the one the detectors and the pulsar arrays read.

The binary pulsar is passed on the transverse branch. The compression branch is bounded by the double pulsar and remains the open problem.

The dark circle

The shadow a black hole casts comes out 4.63 percent larger than general relativity’s. It is the sharpest number in the series, and telescopes can check it.

A measurement of the first photon ring at 6√3 to one percent falsifies the framework.

Expansion as a density drift

An expanding universe and a Plenum whose density drifts are the same kinematics kept in two sets of books. Time dilation, surface brightness and the blackbody law carry over exactly.

What drives the drift is not supplied. The framework has no equivalent of the Friedmann equation yet.

What fills space, and what it weighs

The background radiation has a temperature, so it has an energy, so by E = mc² it has a weight. That weight is the Plenum’s density far from all matter.

This is the radiation alone. What the Plenum is made of in full has no answer yet.

Sizes and distances in the animations are not to scale. The label on each formula (Derived, Fitted, Predicted, Measured, Original) is the one the book’s Index of Formulas or the verification suite gives it.
